PT Natarang Mining is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced professional to till the above position required for their Way Linggo, gold / silver underground mining project.
The role of this new position is to manage all aspects of OH&S and Environmental issues for the 400 man accommodation camp, process plant, mobile and underground mining (electric/ air) equipment. Reporting to the Operations Manager the OHS Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the company s occupational health and safety management programs designed to achieve industry best practice. The successful candidate will have been in a similar position in the mining/ resources industry for a period of at least 5 years.
Also must have sound experience in all aspects of underground mine safety including ventilation systems and testing.Must be able to demonstrate in his CV that he has strengths in;
- Ensuring OH&S and environmental company requirements are implemented and maintained
- Promoting the understanding of safety, health and risk assessment in the workplace:
- Conducting and reviewing risk assessment activities with a focus on identifying and pursuing risk reduction opportunities;
- Compiling and submitting accident reports required by statutory authorities;
- Monitoring safety standards, regulation and legislation and best practice in occupational health and safety;
- Ensuring continual improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety with all team members.
- Hazard reduction and accident / incident investigation procedures.
This position is based on 4 week on and 2 week off FIFO roster. Applicants, who speak fluent Bahasa and English, will be given special consideration.
