The Overseas Property Office (OPO), as part of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), is seeking Expressions of Interest for the selection of a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to provide project management, contract administration and superintendency services for the construction of Australia’s new Embassy Compound in Jakarta, Indonesia. The complex will comprise a chancery, Ambassador’s residence, staff accommodation and staff recreation facilities. The terms and conditions of the invitation, together with a description of the services sought, are set out in the Expression of Interest available on the department’s web site at www.dfat.gov.au/tenders/.

Registrations are invited from suitably qualified firms wishing to participate in this project. Firms having recent construction experience and representation within Jakarta or the South East Asian region, and those which have previous experience in construction of similar projects, are particularly encouraged to register interest.

The Project Manager will be expected to provide a team of contract management and construction supervisory experts on-site for the duration of the construction period as well as the immediate post construction period up to the occupation and operation of the new complex by Embassy staff. The Project Manager will be expected to manage the works in accordance with the Project Control Program and Cost Plan and in cooperation with the OPO Project Director, the design consultant, the cost planner, the Head Works Contractor and other major stakeholders.
